Ursuline Prep Chaplaincy girls were excited to be ambassadors for our school at the Beginning of the School year Mass at St George’s Cathedral in Southwark on Wednesday, 20th September.
They were joined by children and teachers from many Catholic primary and secondary schools in the diocese.
Mass was celebrated by Bishop Paul Hendricks, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Southwark, and our senior chaplain joined the other girls and boys representing their school with a candle procession.
There was a special commissioning and rededication for all staff members present and we all joined in the rousing final hymn “Shine, Jesus, Shine”.
It was so lovely to be among other Catholic schools and our girls most definitely did shine on the day!
