Welcome from the Head Teacher
Welcome to our Ursuline Community. The core provision of this school is three-fold:(i) A strong Ursuline ethos; (ii) An academic provision that prepares the children fully for the secondary school of parents’ choice, wherever that choice may be; (iii) A strong partnership between pupils, parents and staff.
The Ursuline Preparatory School is an independent Roman Catholic school that welcomes children of all faiths and none, in the belief that our Ursuline ethos will be of benefit to all.
The heart of any Roman Catholic school is its Catholic ethos and the commitment it shows to Gospel Values, in Christian service to God and others. We will ensure the ongoing faith formation of all members of our school community, with an emphasis on ‘Serviam’, in compassionate service to others. We will place equal value on the education of the heart, the mind and the soul, in the sure and certain knowledge that only through the equal development of all three can you truly become the person you were born to be; the best that you can be.
The children enjoy a rich diversity of experiences, both inside and outside of the classroom. Through our challenging curriculum, through our full sporting programme, through our varied range of outings and residential trips and through our developed range of extra-curricular activities, together with our multiple opportunities to promote the ethos of ‘Serviam’, we help prepare the children fully for the next step in their educational journey, as well as enabling them to look forward to the future with confidence, keen to make a difference in the world.
We believe in a close link between home and school, born of the belief that working in partnership with parents is of advantage to all and makes this school stronger.
The school produces a review magazine – the Insieme Review – shown below, which offers a glimpse of school life at Ursuline Preparatory School for the previous academic year.
The Ursuline Preparatory School is a happy and caring school where everyone is valued. Please do pay us a visit. You will be made very welcome.
I look forward to meeting you.
