Ursuline Preparatory School Parents’ Association is known as UPSPA. All parents become members when their child/children join the school, paying an annual fee of £20.00.

Mission Statement

“The Parents’ Association (UPSPA) aim to help assist the educational, spiritual and social development of the school community and to raise funds.”

UPSPA run the morning Drop and Go Service, second hand uniform sales and the weekly Friday French Café. The French Café brings families together over a croissant and hot drink, and contributes greatly to the happy, family feel that the school prides itself on.

UPSPA fundraising purposes are twofold:

  1. To contribute to the school’s chosen charities, and charities close to the hearts of the Ursuline community.
  2. To provide ‘extras’ for the school, that add value to our children’s education. The two major fundraisers for the school are the Christmas Fair and Summer Family Fun Day.

This additional support is invaluable and all the children benefit throughout the school. Last year UPSPA funded the resurfacing of our top playground and have been actively saving funds for a new prayer garden and kitchen.

UPSPA committee meetings are held two to three times a term with an AGM in the Michaelmas Term. All parents are welcome to attend all or some of the meetings, which are purposefully informal and friendly, and are a great opportunity to get involved in the social life of the school and embrace new families to the Ursuline community. The Head Teacher is not a member of UPSPA but is invited to all meetings to aid communication between the school and the parent body.
